US DOLLAR CHECKS

As of 1 May 2012, we can no longer accept US dollar checks for conversion to Colombian Pesos and deposit to your Colombian bank account.  In order to have your US dollar checks converted, please ensure you send the checks to our Bogota office. You must be registered as a Colombian Associate and provide us with your Colombian bank details, including your bank certification, a copy of your Colombian ID card and your RUT certificate.

 

CHANGING YOUR COUNTRY

As of Monday 7 May 2012, you will no longer be able to change your country from Canada or USA to Colombia. After that date, the change can only be made through the Customer Service TEAM at the Bogota office.  Please note if you are registered as a USA Associate and do not have a valid US Tax ID Number, you will be assessed a 28% withholding tax according to USA tax laws. Please note the Colombian withholding tax rate is only 10%.

By registering as a Colombian Associate you can be assured of receiving all the communications directly from the Bogota office, such as advance notice on upcoming events and meetings.

 

MONTH END CLOSE

Please remember April business closes at 12 midnight (MST) on Monday 30 April 2012.  Orders received after that time will be included in May business. The previous two weeks in Colombia were an amazing experience for everyone involved.  The Max executives were honored to be welcomed by such a warm and gracious community who were so excited to learn about the Max products and opportunity.

VP of Sales Bob Kaelin, President Jim Stevralia, and Bogotá Manager Dan Riordan were the “Three Amigos” of Max during their tour of Colombia.  In all four cities they visited – Baranquilla, Medellin, Cali, and Bogotá – they were greeted with boundless enthusiasm.

One person who was very enthusiastic was futbol legend and new Max Associate Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama.  Here, El Pibe is welcomed to Max by Jorge Escobar, Manuel Angulo, and Rodrigo Navarro.

All the best to El Pibe as he starts his own Max Business!

The tour of Colombia finished with a wonderful stop in Bogotá.  Here is Jim Stevralia with some of the Bogotá office staff.  Our thanks to everyone in the office who helped make those two nights so successful.

Both nights in Bogotá were incredible, with over 325 in attendance for the first night of February 14^th and even more on the second night!

Our Associates have done an amazing job in racking up the points for our Amplify promotion.  Fifteen different Associates have earned the 150 point maximum reward and are still going!

The race for first is starting to tighten up in these last few weeks.  We wanted to briefly highlight one of our top Amplify Associates – Ana Cristina Angel, currently in 15^th with 155 points.  Ana is a single mother and was responsible for setting up the Cali, Colombia meeting. She has been dedicated to Max and has encouraged everyone she meets to enroll as a Max Associate. She is a great leader for Max in Cali and will be at the Amplify Convention in Salt Lake City.

Sale VP Bob Kaelin recently had the opportunity to surprise her with the great news about her standing during the Cali event.  This was a great encouragement to all in attendance that they, too, can earn money to cover their expenses to the Max Amplify convention.  There are still 2 weeks left in the month of February and our contest.  We hope to see everyone earn rewards for their hard work and then attend this great event.

Congratulations again to Ana Cristina Angel for earning a $1,000 reimbursement for her travel and hotel plus 200 Max bucks to spend at the convention.  Remember that we’re another week closer to the end of our Amplify promotion.  All Associates have until midnight February 29^th to earn travel reimbursements and special Max Bucks that can be spent at convention.

Hello again all Max Associates!  Bob Kaelin here with another update from Colombia.  Today is Wednesday Feb 15^th, a beautiful day in Bogotá and I can’t think of a better place to be for our last full meeting in this amazing country.

Last night, over 325 Max Associates and guests were in attendance for the Colombia launch in Bogotá.   It was a great event thanks in part to our excited and motivated speakers.

- Julio Rivera, our Triple Diamond Associate, presented Max International, the company, products and business opportunity to everyone.
- Dan Riordan enthusiastically introduced himself and his team at the Colombia Max office and distribution center.
- President Jim Stevralia spoke about leadership and how impressed he is with all the leaders in attendance and then talked about his excitement for the future of Max International with the opening of Colombia.
- For my part, I focused on the potential for touching people’s lives with the Max products and business opportunities.  Finally, I felt compelled to speak about how we’re all working to plant seeds of hope and friendship as we joined together in the Max family.

This morning Jim, Dan and I met with our 6 Diamond Leaders that attended and spoke at all the events in Barranquilla, Medellin, Cali, and now in Bogotá.  We discussed future events in Colombia and how best to follow up the excitement and enthusiasm that over 1,000 people have felt during the Colombia launch meetings. Great events were discussed and all agreed that the opportunities in Colombia are so bright.

I hope that you’ll all agree with us that, as successful as these first meetings have been, many more lives will soon be touched and changed for the better.
